Burnley: Tiredness can be seen ( Recent Form: L W W L L )

For a club like Burnley this busy period in the Premier League is not in the cold clothes. The Clarets played the away game at Bournemouth on Saturday, December 21 (0-1 win), visited Everton on Boxing Day (1-0 loss) and received Manchester United on Saturday night. The duel with Manchester United was lost 0-2 for Burnley and it was clear at times that the Burnley players were suffering from the busy period in the Premier League - some players were far too late with their tackles and Burnley was able to reach it a 0-1 deficit also no longer squeeze a final offensive. Fortunately for Sean Dyche and his team, the festive period in England is almost over. On New Year's Day, Burnley plays a home game against Aston Villa and Saturday afternoon Peterborough United is the opponent of Burnley in the FA Cup. The Clarets then have a week of rest before they can visit Chelsea in the Premier League. Burnley hopes to close the duel with Aston Villa in particular, as The Clarets have dropped somewhat in the rankings due to the two losses last week. The luck of Dyche is that his team survived the busy period in terms of injuries.

Aston Villa: Last match of 2019 quickly forgotten ( Recent Form: L W L W L )

Aston Villa starts 2020 under the relegation line. The Villans have taken eighteen points from twenty games and have one point too little to start the new year above the red line. Dean Smith's team ended the 2019 calendar year disappointingly: Aston Villa lost 3-0 to Watford last weekend. Because of that 3-0 defeat, Aston Villa has only two points ahead of Watford, which is nineteenth, and immediately a competitor when it comes to safe seventeenth place. On Boxing Day, Aston Villa luckily won a 1-0 win over gate-keeper Norwich City, but The Villans was a bit less lucky against Watford. The Smith formation did not even play a very bad first half, but did not take advantage of the opportunities it was given. Then Watford made the 1-0 just before the half-time signal and in the second half, Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton had to take two more goals. Aston Villa lost another away game in the Premier League last Saturday and no club is currently outperforming Dean Smith's Aston Villa. The Villans took only four of the possible thirty points outside their own Villa Park.

After all, with the ability to play very well every time against the under-rated teams, along with a solid fulcrum at home, Burnley is enough to defeat Aston Villa in the coming encounter. This is more likely to happen when the visitors are playing extremely badly, especially when they have to leave their home.
