Match Analysis

Germany is a fantastic team, but they will be without Bayern’s players in this match, and also without Ter Stegen from Barcelona, which means that Arsenal’s Leno will most likely be the starting goalkeeper. Just because Germany will be without all those players doesn’t mean they are suddenly not a good team, because there are still plenty of superstars like Brandt, Sane, Draxler, Havertz, Kroos, and Werner in their lineup. Germany was dominant in the Europ Cup qualifications where they won 21 points, scored 30 goals, and conceded 7 goals in their 8 games during these qualifications. It’s been a while since Germany played their last game, back in November of last year, but they demolished Northern Ireland in that match 6-1. Germany has had a massive 72% of ball possession, 11 shots on goal, 8 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and high 91% of the correct passes. Germany is one of the best teams in the world, and they are one of the favorites to win the Euro Cup next year. The venue for this game has still not been confirmed, but it will be without the audience. Germany is probably playing the most complete soccer in Europe, but we will see how they will do without Bayern’s stars in the lineup.

The last game that Spain lost was against Croatia back November of 2018, and since then Spain has 8 wins and 2 draws. Spain is led by Luis Enrique, former Barcelona and Celta Vigo coach who won everything with Barcelona. Spain is a good mix of youth and experience with players like De Gea, Navas, Ramos, Thiago, Olmo, Rodrigo, Fati, and Busquets, but they are an incredibly dangerous team. In their last match against Romania at home, Spain was a much better team with 74% of ball possession, 6 shots on goal, 8 corner kicks, 5 big chances created, and high 92% of the correct passes. Spain has won this match 5-0. Spain has won their Euro Cup qualifications group with 26 points, 31 scored goals, and 5 conceded goals. Spain likes to play the same type of soccer as Barcelona and Manchester City, high ball possession, patience, and controlling the midfield, and that makes Spain one of the most dangerous teams in the world. Even without some well-known striker, Spain is scoring a ton of goals, which makes them one of the favorites to win the Euro Cup next year. I think we can expect a mixed lineup for this match, but I’m quite sure De Gea will be between the posts.

Odds Analysis

The trends are on Spain’s side in this matchup, but it has been a while since either of the teams played a game. The teams didn’t have a lot of time to prepare for this game, and most of the players are tired because the season’s ended not too long ago. I think we can expect a sloppy game on the defensive end, but with the firepower in the attacking end these two teams posses, we will see some goals.
