Liverpool: Unstoppable ( Recent Form: W D W W W )

Liverpool has already collected 58 points in twenty games in the Premier League. Liverpool could collect a maximum of sixty points in those twenty games. In total, the team of Jürgen Klopp lost only two points and that happened in the match with Manchester United (1-1 draw). The Reds have all won their last eleven league games and this Liverpool is simply unstoppable. The question is not whether Liverpool will take the Premier League title, but when. The lead on Leicester City is thirteen points and Manchester City is even fourteen points behind Liverpool. On Thursday-evening, Liverpool won 2-0 against Sheffield United. Last Sunday, The Reds didn't play a good game and with a bit of luck they managed to beat Wolverhampton (1-0). Liverpool played as usual against Sheffield United and it was a miracle that The Reds only scored twice on Anfield. Liverpool is therefore working on a great series in the Premier League. The Reds can also provide excellent figures in their home games against Everton, as the last 23 times the Merseyside Derby was played at Anfield, Liverpool stepped unbeaten. Klopp has indicated that he would be more than happy to rotate at Liverpool - the FA Cup takes The Reds a little less seriously - and there is a good chance that that will happen. The 16-year-old talent Harvey Elliott will at least get a base place during this Merseyside Derby. Takumi Minamino will probably also make his debut in the Liverpool shirt against Everton; the 24-year-old has been in contact with The Reds since January 1 and was taken over from Red Bull Salzburg.

Everton: Won at Anfield for the last time in 1999 ( Recent Form: D D W W L )

At Everton, they hope that Liverpool will not be the strongest possible team during this Merseyside Derby, because then The Toffees might have a chance to finally get a good result again at Anfield. Yesterday exactly one month ago Everton also played at Anfield against Liverpool and then The Toffees lost 5-2. Of course both teams played at the time with their strongest possible team. The 5-2 defeat at Anfield was Marco Silva his last game as manager of Everton and recently Carlo Ancelotti is at the helm at The Toffees. Ancelotti ran into his first defeat this week: Everton lost 2-1 to Manchester City on New Year's Day. Just like earlier in the season visiting Liverpool, Everton visiting Manchester City was also ticked from the box to the wall. It was a miracle that goalkeeper Jordan Pickford only had to collect two goals and that Everton could hope for a good result for the entire match. The expectation is that Ancelotti will not rotate much at Everton, also because the Italian knows that Klopp will do that. As a result, Everton can hope for the first victory since 1999 over Anfield. It's not going to be easy for Everton, but The Toffees are more likely to get a result than they had a month ago in the league against Liverpool.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, Liverpool lost 5-0 to Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup last month, but then The Reds really played with a B-team. That will be a lot less the case on Sunday, although a number of talents will get the chance from Klopp. The bookmakers still see Liverpool as a light favorite, but I can't rule out Everton getting a good result at Anfield. I'm going to bet Everton +0.5.
