This weekend Corinthians will count with goalkeeper Cassio returning after recovering from an injury that kept him out for the last couple of rounds, but right back Fagner, who also missed their last two games, is still doubtful.

As for Internacional, they won’t have striker Paolo Guerrero in this game – the Peruvian is with his national squad.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Fagner (thigh)

Injured/unavailable: Leo Santos (knee)

Placed just below Internacional with the same number of points, Corinthians will probably fight with this weekend’s opponents for the last spot in next year’s Copa Libertadores until the end of the season, but even though they are placed 7th and 8th, respectively, both Internacional and Corinthians have been having problems lately.

The hosts new interim coach will be in charge of the team for the third time – he’s until unbeaten after last round’s 1-1 draw in the derby against their main rivals Palmeiras – and since he took control of the team it seems like their players have been accepting his ideas more than they were receptive with their former coach.

With only four wins as visitors in the Brasileiro this year, Internacional rely too much on their home matches and the main problem for them this weekend is that Corinthians are one of the strongest hosts in the country, having lost only one of their home matches, and with such a great record and playing against a weak visitor, Corinthians will beat Internacional.

The last couple of matches Internacional played away had only two goals in the final score, meaning they both ended with low scores, which is the same of what happened to 11 out of Corinthians’ 16 matches as hosts, so it’s also something we can expect to happen this weekend.

Only one out of the last five times these two sides faced each other ended with one of them winning the match – a 2-1 home win for Internacional.
